I installed this drive and then put in Windows XP pro. When full I then put in Windows 7 home premium and set computer up as a dual boot gadget. I then examined each by using booting into Windows XP and Windows 7. I then ran each update and each service pack on both Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 SP1. I installed antivirus, adobe reader, Microsoft Office 2007, Firefox 5.0, and so forth. When all was good with both operating methods I pulled out he HD and cloned it over to a model new same old SATA force. Then got here the enjoyable of trying out both HD's and OS's for boot instances, and so on.

Pros: $2 per GB is a really perfect value. Drive will breathe new life into ANY PC. Easy to install, quite quite a bit of fun. Drive has NEVER locked up for me, now not with hibernation, sleep mode anything.
Cons: $2 per GB is lots larger than a typical SATA power. Firmware was onerous to locate, although simple to put in.
